A house isn’t our home until it has a door destroyed by Emmett.
That’s how the saying goes, right?
That’s how I remember it, anyway.
So, yeah. Emmett locked himself in the freshly-painted bathroom and decided to dig his way out. He made it halfway.
Ahem.
Anyway, it’s Thanksgiving week! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I just love it, and this year–for the first time ever–we’re hosting. Should be fun. I think. Probably. (Cooper, please, please, pretty please don’t spend the whole evening singling out one person to bark at until they get upset and leave… please… no repeats of the Fourth, ‘k?)
And THEN!
May I have a drumroll, please?
Friday launches the annual holiday gift guide and giveaway extravaganza! Yippee!
Because of all the craziness that’s been going on, this year it’s pared way down: three days instead of seven and a list of gifts that are truly my most favorite things. I’m super, crazy, over-the-moon excited about this year’s showstopper. I don’t want to give it away, but some hints can’t hurt, right? Every pet-loving home needs one. Of the three brands I tested, it’s the most efficient. It rhymes a little bit with, um, broom. Except if the broom had a power cord?
Ahem.
Off go stir or baste or bake or something. 🙂
See you this weekend!
WE have scratches like that on our doors also, it is called “stella rose telling mom and dad she is done eating and let her back in the house….” humans!
stella rose
A little bit more than a knock huh?
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Bark at someone until they leave. Oh my goodness that is funny. I mean, probably not funny at the time but now?!?! Hope your day is wonderful!!
That’s very strange that it bark at someone coming to your home.
Maybe you could tie a towel around the latch and train them to pull it open if they get stuck again?
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
We hope your first Thanksgiving in your new home goes well! Every home with a dog(s) needs a scratched door…or at least that’s what I tell myself!
Hosting Thanksgiving in your new home – that is so great!
Emmett just wanted to put his own spin on your decorating….looks familiar!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Maggie!
Aw, Emmett… maybe he thought your door needed an artistic flair?
