As I put the finishing touches on the last accessory for the herd’s costumes, I started thinking about all the Halloweens past. From the hastily-thrown-together Little Red Riding Hood (and, of course, the wolf in grandma’s clothes):
To some silly store-bought costumes:
To last year’s all out frenzy:
I know there are lots of folks who are opposed to dressing up their dogs, and if I thought these guys were scared, I’d skip it altogether. But they LOVE getting all the extra treats and attention that comes with being in costume. Really, though, I think Jodi said it best. Definitely go read her post for an excellent take on dogs dressing up!
Anyway, as I piece together this top hat (bwahaha! what could they be?!) I’m super excited to unveil their totally-handmade set of costumes tomorrow!
Until then, tell me in the comments: Is your dog dressing up? Did you DIY a costume or pick up a cute ready-made outfit? I can’t wait to see all the pics tomorrow!

Julius will be! His day-care is having a Halloween party, so of course he is dressing up. One of his pals at day-care is Jack, a black standard poodle…and Juli is going to dress up as Jack, complete with wig and leg poofs. 🙂

That is hilarious! And brilliant! You’re going to share pics, right?!?!?

We live around the corner from an elementary school. Honey and I always make a point of watching the kids’ Halloween parade from our front porch. Honey always gets lots of compliments on her costume–she looks just like a golden retriever. 🙂
Do you have something special planned for Newt as well?

No costumes this year 🙁 Unfortunately kids costumes have taken up my time – but I did this fun post last year that I was just looking at – we used to dress up the dogs…a lot 🙂

Mom tortures us. Well, I kinda didn’t mind my costume too much this year cuz it shows my bulging muscles.
