“Well, that’s the kind of mistake you really only make once,” John said as Molly’s full bowl of kibble flew from the top of her crate – where he had set it momentarily – and clattered and scattered across the living room floor.
One of many messes to clean up from the last 72 hours…
Because the weather has been so nice (I feel super guilty saying that to all of you who are snowed in to negative temps… but it’s like 72 and sunny here), we’ve had them outside as much as possible to run around a bit, and we’ve been hoping Molly will learn better playing skills. Which she has and then some!

But they all got into something, we’re not sure where. In the yard? A different cleaning product? Who knows what, but over the course of the weekend Cooper, Emmett, and Molly spent a lot of time barfing. Because there are so many loose dogs around here, there’s poop everywhere, so I always worry they’ll get their nose in some bacteria or virus or something, so it could’ve been something like that, too. Thankfully, as of yesterday everyone felt better.
Well, until Cooper apparently ate a big pile of sticks and barfed those all up this morning!
Always something…
Finally, if you have a chance, I’m guest posting over at Grouchy Puppy today! Sharon was kind enough to let me tackle a potentially contentious topic, and I’d love to hear your thoughts before I write the follow-up post. Head on over!
Hope you’re having a great week so far!

I sure hope everyone is feeling better at your house, that must have been horrendous with three of them sick at once. YUCK.
I could have sworn I already commented on a couple of other posts, but for some reason I’m not seeing there.
Specifically I think it was the one about dog introductions. I’ve learned how to watch Delilah and can almost 100% tell when she is going to react. I know with certainty she doesn’t do well with greetings when she is leashed, so I try to avoid those. When I can’t I drop the leash (when possible) I think every dog is different and it’s just finding what works for that dog.

Bummer that everyone’s been sick, but it looks like Molly’s fitting right in with the big pups!

That’s too bad. At least they all looked happy in the yard, before mayhem struck?
Our weather is alternating between nice and crazy. Right now it’s 35 and raining. Which would be nice, compared to what a lot of the country is having, but it’s supposed to be thirty degrees warmer. This time last year, we were going to the park three or four times a week. We’ve got a good forecast for the weekend, though.

Ugh is right! That sounds awful. In our house, when Dash is sick, Lilly is up and none of us get a good night sleep. When Lilly is sick, we hear Dash snoring away up on the bed and getting just a fine nights sleep… Lilly and I always sigh and say to each other: “boys, oh brother.” Hoping you get a good night sleep soon!

I’ve never had the experience of four barfing dogs at once and I’m sure of trying to keep them from giving the barf a second chance. 🙂
We are heading into the 70s today and I feel no guilt.
