New Orleans >> Houston >> Indy >> Chicago >> Indy >> Houston >> New Orleans
Whoo. I’m wiped, you guys! It’s been a crazy two weeks. It started with flying to Indy for my next round of tests, CT scan, and so on. Then off to Chicago for Total Pet Expo and a few days with my brother and his lovely wife. Then back to Indy for another test and appointment with my oncologist… Then back to New Orleans late last night, just in time for another doctor’s appointment this morning. (Have I mentioned that cancer is a humongous, giant time suck?!)
Eight exhausting days away from home.
But! The best news ever!! All my tests and scans were CLEAR! They call it “no evidence of disease” but whatever! All I heard was NO SIGN OF CANCER! (I repeat all these same tests quarterly for the next year, so I go back in January.)
Then I got to snuggle my herd last night, and all was right with the world! 🙂

But, while I was on the plane, I was doing a little brainstorming, thinking of posts for the next few weeks, and it occurred to me: Between past conferences, BarkWorld, Total Pet Expo, Facebook, emails, and the comments on here, I’ve gotten a TON of questions. I try my best to answer them piece by piece, but I realized that many have fallen through the cracks. Especially with emails.
And I feel really bad about that!
And so, inspired by another blog that did this (and I can only wish I remember who to give credit), I’m opening the floor to YOU!
You ask, I’ll answer!!
(Like, within reason, of course….)
Dogs, blogs, training, our crazy life situation, favorite products, treats, food, whatever!
Feel free to post your question here in the comments or on Facebook. If you don’t want it to be public, shoot me an email to info{at}ohmydogblog{dot}com. I’ll compile them all over the next few days and create a master FAQ-style post!
Ask, ask away! I can’t wait to finally address everything you guys have been wanting to know!
Great news Maggie, you must be relieved !
Thanks so much!!! It’s a huge weight off!
Maggie, that is THE BEST news!! You must be so relieved, and wow, that did all sound so tiring. I’m so glad you had safe trips though (and that some of it was for fun!), and are now back home resting up and snuggling with your gang.
I just got back from a trip myself, so now I will be playing catch up for a few days….will try to think of some questions for you while I’m doing all that! 🙂
Isn’t it crazy how much there is to catch up on after being away?? Yeesh. Good luck with getting caught up! And please do post your questions!!! I think people might be uncomfortable doing so publicly because all the ones I’ve gotten so far have come in via email! 🙂
Blessings on you Maggie. So glad that you are cancer free and so glad I found your blog. I am a daily visitor now. I love all the info that you share with us , but the post I like the most are the ones just about daily life with your boys. I could relate so much about your past post on working from home with your boys. I too work from home, with constant canine (and feline) interruptions. However, I would’t trade my little pack of 4 for anything.
P.S. 4 dogs and 4 cats
Phyllis, THANK YOU for the kind words. Sincerely! And I am so with you… all those interruptions are worth it to have our packs with us all day! 🙂 You have a BIG group, too!! I’m very impressed!
That’s such great news and we are all very happy for you Maggie.
I think Emmett’s face says, “Thank god you are back because Dad doesn’t know how to do stuff around here!”
Thank you so much, Adam!! And I think you nailed Emmett’s expression! 😉
I have a Q, and hopefully you’ll have an A! Looking at your herd, I wonder if when you walk them, do people move to the other side of the street? I love dogs, but I know alot of people are intimidated by big dogs and pit mixes. Can you walk them anywhere you want?
And CONGRATS on your good news! That’s so great!
Hi, Randy! Thanks so much for commenting! That’s a really interesting question, which I’ll definitely tackle. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and ask!
Yay for being cancer free!!!!! and that is the cutest picture of Emmett 🙂
🙂 Thank you so much, Kim!!
I’m not going to comment on being cancer free, other than, great news!!! (because I’m already crying)
my question(s) did you get to see Victoria Sitwell speak or present while you were at the expo and did you get to meet her or get any advice/tips for your boys?
Thank you SO MUCH, Sof. I know you’re going through a tough time yourself, so please know I’m thinking of you.
And that is an EXCELLENT question. I actually can’t believe I haven’t addressed that yet. I absolutely will. Thank you for the prompt.
How much does it cost to have 3 dogs? we want to get another one but not sure I can afford to.
Interesting question, Angel. I’ll definitely tackle this one! Thanks for taking the time to post your question!
How do you keep from getting burned out from writing? Also how do you work with 3 barky dogs and a cat in the house?
Oooh! Really good questions! Thanks, Adam!! By the way, I have a post coming up that mentions your pups! 🙂
Cool, Thanks Maggie!
Howdy, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any help is very much appreciated.
Excellent question, and I’ll definitely include it in my answers post – coming later this week!
