In honor of National Pit Bull Awareness Day, please take a moment to think about all the dogs who have lost their lives because of breed-discriminatory laws. Hold those dogs and those families in your hearts and minds, and remember that we have the chance to have our voices heard, to elect politicians who don’t support BDL, to support families whose lives have been touched by discrimination.

We haven’t forgotten Lennox, or any of the others. Even though we don’t have Pit Bull’s we know that it could very easily be our dogs too.

Some of my favorite dogs are pit bulls/pit mixes. I hate the discrimination that surrounds them and vehemently disagree with it. Working at a veterinary hospital, I see pit bulls all the time and they are always the sweetest and easiest dogs to work with! People need to learn that it’s the owner that makes a dog the way it is.
Emmett sure is a lucky dog. And a beauty. Here’s to voting in proper laws.
I agree with Lauren Chen. The dog only responds to how he’s treated.
