Whew, have I been tired! This is an outward reflection of how I feel on the inside:
If I were to perform my exhaustion in some sort of interpretive dance, it might look something like this:
The bottom line? I’m learning that I can’t keep up right now and – here’s the hard part for me – that’s okay. I’m trying to let go, at least a little. I’ve been watching TV (umm… how did I miss Gilmore Girls when it was on originally?! The show is fab!) and snuggling the pups. I’ve been reading blogs and clicking around on Pinterest, but I can’t get up the energy to actually comment, post, or write.
But I wanted to stop in and say hello! I also wanted to post these sleepy, snuggled-up pics for Wordless Wednesday, but I somehow missed the entire day. Ah, well.
Hope you’re having a great week!
Thanks for the intelligent post.
I got the entire Gilmore Girls series on DVD last year and all I did for weeks was lounge in bed, watch TV and make smart alec quips until my other half suggested that perhaps a shower and some daylight was in order. PSHT! What did he know? I fully support your relaxing! Do some chilling out for both of us, ok? I can’t seem to find a spare moment to even st down lately!
That sounds like my exact plan for this weekend!! Such a great show! Hope you get a chance for some relaxation time in your busy schedule!
just think that exhaustion onto those rebel cells… lie back and imagine them being hunted down and blown apart… and imagine opening doors to a sunny clear day, feeling like you could run to Paris, if you could organise it… Strong wishes.
Thanks, Molly!
I believe our bodies know what we need more than we care to admit sometimes. And if your body needs to cuddle on the couch with the dogs and the Gilmore Girls, then so be it. It’s taking care of things on the inside so you can get back on your feet and stay there.
Rest well.
Thanks so much, Leslie! That is very great advice – and so true!
Just relax and enjoy those puppy cuddles. Puppy cuddles always make me feel better. Take care!
There are definitely worse things you could be doing. Glad to know you’re using your “down” time so well. I’m sure the dogs are too.
Aw. Poor baby dogs and their mama. This has been the week for exhaustion, what with heat and all. Rest!
