- Surgery on Friday went well. No dog walks for two weeks. Boo. I don’t get the results from the lymph node biopsies or the cancer “stage” for a while, so we’re just waiting and hoping right now. I can’t even begin to tell you how much your comments, emails, and messages meant to me. Saying thank you doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of the depth of my gratitude, but thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
- This is how I spent the weekend.
- Lucas hurt his shoulder going bonkers in my parents’ backyard on Christmas. This is how he’s spent the last two days:
- Have you seen this Dogs in Cars video? Preciousness. And happiness.
- Thanks for sticking around as I wait for things to return to “normal.” I’m excited to get back to blog reading, writing, and commenting – in the short spurts that John lets me have laptop time!
In the meantime, did you have a nice holiday weekend? How are your dogs faring the winter weather (is anyone getting any snow yet??)?
Sam
Wishing you a very speedy recovery!

Thanks, Sam!
Pamela
It’s a good thing dogs are as good at napping as they are at walking. I’m sure they’ll keep you good company while you’re recovering.
I hope you get good news back from the doctor soon.
Maggie
Thanks, Pamela! I really appreciate it! And you’re so right: They’re practically napping professionals, so they’ve been the perfect company!
Ann
I can’t think of better medicine for you than a couple of weeks in bed surrounded by your boys, some good books, magazines, laptop and the occasional Starbucks with a friend.
Maggie
For sure, Ann!! Looking forward to coffee. One word of warning: Since my left arm is barely functional right now, John’s been combing my hair. Just so you know.
John
And it looks great!

Glad the surgery went well and hoping you will get some good news from the results. The “boys” are taking good care of you I can see on the picture. And don’t worry about not being able to do a dog walk fro two weeks, as real friends, they understand.

Happy to hear that your surgery went well 🙂

I’ll be keeping you in prayers for your results, and for wisdom for future direction. And here’s to a happy 2012.

Congrats on the napping pals! Your photo looks like my legs under a Newf and two cats. Rest up and be well. I’m crossing my fingers for the best possible news you can get, and that you can care for your own hair shortly. 😉 Hugs!
Julie
Dogs are so good at adapting to any situation and making us feel better 🙂 So happy you have your sweet pups and wonderful support system to help you through this – hoping that everything turns out well for you!
