Things I didn’t accomplish this weekend: grading a massive stack of my writing students’ work, washing dishes, pulling weeds, or, really, anything else productive.
Instead, I spent the weekend at the other end of Emmett’s leash visiting his kids at the mental health facility, reading at the public library, and participating in our local humane association’s annual fundraiser.
Here are 8 pics from our super-packed weekend! (By the way, Emmett has been asleep in his bed since about 5:00 last night. He got up to eat dinner, then breakfast this morning. Otherwise, his to-do list consists of “snore” today.)

All in all, a very fun day and a successful fundraiser! We can’t wait until next year!
Emmett was the perfect ambassador at the Run! Thanks for helping out big guy.
Thanks, Ann! I was proud of him, and I think it was one of the best days he’s ever had: Hundreds of people willing to pat him?! There’s nothing better for that guy!
Sounds like you had a busy weekend!
I would sooo pay for an Emmett kiss! <3
I love the picture of him at the Pooch Smooch table . .he looks like he is saying, “okay, so where is everyone?” What a sweetie 🙂
I love the idea of a pooch smooch table. That beats any kissing booth I’ve ever seen.
Emmet is beyond adorable!!!!! I LOVE the picture on the Pooch Smooch table! I would have loved to be there to get some kisses. He seems like the sweetest boy!
Thanks, everyone!! He was a cute, good boy all day! 🙂 And we’re saving the Pooch Smooch booth for future events. It really drew a crowd!
