Dog nose extreme close up

10•25•11

When Emmett wants attention, he gets as close to you as possible… to the point of parking his 65+ pounds right in your lap and sticking his face in yours, just to give you that extreme close up of his dog nose. Luckily phones have cameras now! Otherwise, I’d miss so many good, quick pics like this one!

Tell me: How does your dog demand attention?

Daisy tends to come at me with her nose. Then she’ll sit and lean on me if I start to pet her.

Bella stands a leans over and grabs you with her paw. Sometimes, if its super urgent-she’ll bay.

Sadie lays her head on my lap and looks up at me with the most pitiful sad dog expression she can muster. Maggie physically presses herself against me with a “pet me now” urgency. Hurley whines. We’re working on that last one.

Emmett is too cute! I’d love to be nudged by the nose of his.

Silent Honey only barks when she wants attention. However we have managed to teach her to lie down quietly when she’s begging for food. Everyone things she’s well behaved but we know it’s just her way of begging for a little smackeral of something.

    How cute is he?!?!

Bella will do one of 2 things to get my attention. First she’ll sit behind me and mumble (not bark, not whine, it’s muttering and mumbling really – I’m not sure I want to know what she’s trying to say…)

The other thing she’ll do if she wants me to play with her is steal stuff. She doesn’t damage things any more when she’s thieving so I can ignore the game if it’s a bad time to play and she’ll give up quickly. But lots of times I think of it as her way of telling me I’ve been sitting at this computer too long, let’s go have some fun. And I listen.

Scout whines and cries. If that doesn’t work immediately, she turns up the volume and urgency of the whine. If that doesn’t produce immediate results, she trembles and shakes, while getting even louder. In fact, she’s doing it right now. You’d really think she is being horribly tortured by the sound.

Emmett is just so cute! From this angle, he reminds me so much of my dog, it’s weird!

Shiva will do anything she can to get my attention. She will throw her Kong around the living room, chase the cat, whine at the cat, put her head in my lap, lick incessantly any part of me she can access. As a final attempt, she will do what Leslie’s dog does and steal things from the garbage or off the shelves, and put them down at my feet, all proud of herself. Then she’ll look up at me all sly “aren’t you going to take this away from me?”

Kristine, I have always thought that he and Shiva look a lot alike…. Long-lost cousins, perhaps?

You guys are cracking me up!! It sounds like we all have some pretty clever, pretty pushy pups. But… they deserve the snuggles and attention, right? 🙂
