Maybe I’ve mentioned this before – or maybe it comes through loud and clear – but I’m pretty anal. I like to have everything clean, organized, and crossed off my list. While I was busily packing and prepping for our road trip, John was in China for two weeks; meanwhile, the semester started on Tuesday, so I had to get all that organized and ready to go for nearly 50 writing students. It’s been a busy week! And hopefully, if all goes according to plan, as you’re reading this, we’re on the road heading toward BlogPaws. Hopefully.
However, before the madness, Cooper had a last-minute training/practice session to get ready for BlogPaws! He hit the town with Romeo, the best-behaved dog EVER, who happens to be one of Emmett’s good friends. It went pretty well, though Cooper had a difficult time focusing with all the birds swarming our table for a bite of eggs or toast.

Thankfully Romeo and his fabulous person were patient and put up with Cooper’s shenanigans.

Overall, Cooper exceeded my expectations. He took a minute (or 15) to get his wiggles out, but once he was settled, he was good to go! Several dogs walked past, dozens of people came to greet Romeo (seriously, eating out with a handsome Newfie is like eating out with a celeb), the waiter bustled around, and Cooper kept his cool for the most part.

It was great practice, and I hope we can do it again soon! (Thanks, Julie and Romeo!!)
I’m sorry we didn’t meet at BlogPaws. Honey and Cooper played in the dog park, however. I recognized Cooper the instant I saw him. 🙂
