Right now, after 10 months of an on-site copywriting job combined with two semesters of teaching writing classes, I’m back to sitting on the sofa with my laptop perched on my lap.
Right now, I have a huge stack of final essays to grade, blog posts that I’m woefully behind on, an editing project ready to go, and a big, hairy research project to tackle.
Right now, it’s 75 degrees out, and right now, the boys are doing this:
And this:
Right now, I’m ignoring the dishes piled in the sink, the tumbleweeds of dog fur blowing across the floor, and the mountain of work stacked in manila folders on the corner of my desk so that I can alternate between chipping away at my to-do list and snuggling the boys.
To me, that’s the perfect way to adjust to a whole new schedule.
What are you – and your dogs – doing right now?
It’s not even 10am and my dogs are settling in for a nap. It’s been a long, hard morning of breakfast and walk in the park. It’s a tough life!
Right now I am stuck at work and catching up on my blog reading during my lunch hour. Right now I wish I was at home playing with my puppy who is probably sleeping in her crate or being taunted by the cat.
Me?
I’m doing my “daily rounds” on the internet, enjoying some down time on dog blogs. All four of my dogs are snoozing the morning away.
The sun is shining and it is going to get warm this afternoon so the dogs and I will spend some of the afternoon working outside (I’ll work, the dogs will snooze in the grass).
There’s nothing better!
