Wishing I could make a living hanging with my dogs…

02•22•11

Because I somehow gave up total control of my schedule, on Tuesdays I now split my time between a copywriting gig and a teaching gig. That means I leave the house at 7:45 am and don’t get home until almost 9:30 pm. The worst part?

I miss this mug:

And I miss this guy, especially when he’s singing:

And this one. Oh, boy, do I miss this one:

Disclaimer: This post is for entirely selfish reasons. Now I can pull up this post and steal glances of my guys on my phone throughout this long, long, long day! 🙂

Me too. It’s so hard being away from my dog all day long. I have a photo of her at my desk at work but it’s just not the same. The nights are never long enough. This working for a living thing is so over-rated.

When Honey was a puppy I got the ok to bring her to work with me. She had a crate by my desk. And I still missed her. Even looking over at her sleeping is not the same as going out to play.

I’m so happy to hear you say this because when I worked in an office I used to really miss my pets and I felt like I must be a little extreme. It’s so good to know others feel this way too. And how could you not miss those sweet boys of yours!

Amen. If I could make a living and spend all my time with my dogs, I’d do it in an instant.

I so understand your dream of working with them. I get home from work and just the sight of Spike and Dru standing up, tails wagging so happy to see me, makes all the stress and ugliness go away.

My mom says she wishes the same thing ALL the time. I think maybe she’s just not trying hard enough to find somebuddy to give her green papers to do that. I mean, it can’t be THAT hard, right?

I love your selfish reason. I always envy people who can bring their dogs to work, though I know I wouldn’t be able to get anything done.

Aww! I’m so glad everyone feels the same way! I snuck glances at my guys all day… and now they’re sleeping soundly at my feet.

The BEST part of my day is coming home from work and seeing my two dogs!!! I always thought I was a little over the top where my babies are concerned! But I just love them soooooo much.
