Recently, I had the opportunity to take a look at the holiday issue of FIDO Friendly magazine.
I met Carol Bryant, who handles the mag’s social media and pens articles, at BlogPaws. I absolutely adore Carol, and it was such a pleasure to meet her in person. So I was excited when she reached out and offered me an issue to review.
The magazine is chock full of helpful hints, training advice, and product reviews. There also was an excerpt from Leashes and Lovers with a really great message: your dog can help you become a better communicator in your human relationships.
While there were several features – including touching stories about Dogs without Borders and Amazon CARES – the area where FIDO Friendly really shines is with their destination coverage. I love the emphasis on vacationing with your pet, and they cover a range of locations and accommodations, so you’re sure to find a trip that suits you and your dogs.
I am a total magazine junkie. I have dogeared stacks around the house, and I’m constantly ripping pages out to file away, send to friends, or post as inspiration. I reviewed the digital version, and I definitely missed the tactile experience. (In fact, I really wanted to rip out the Training 101 article – how to get your husband to stop feeding your dog from the dinner table – and send it to my mother who’s struggling with that exact issue with my dad and her little dog!) Although, to be more environmentally-friendly, I suppose I need to start getting used to digital versions!
All in all, FIDO Friendly is a fun, useful read… and I’m so excited that I have a one-year subscription to give away!
FIDO Friendly has offered – so generously! – to give away a year’s subscription to the magazine. You get to choose whether you’d like the print or digital version, too.
