Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you have a fun weekend ahead of you! I’m volunteering at my shelter’s low-cost vaccination clinic tonight, then I plan to spend the rest of the weekend relaxing around the house and playing with Emmett and Lucas. Sounds like a perfect weekend to me!
So I have a question for everyone:
Do you dress your dogs up for Halloween? And, if so, what does your dog wear?
Okay, I guess that’s two questions! But you all are a creative bunch of dog lovers, so I can’t wait to hear your costume ideas!
Last year, Lucas went as Little Red Riding Hood, and Emmett was the wolf in grandma’s clothing:

I’m stumped for this year’s costume, though!
What does your dog wear? (If you have a link to a pic on FB or your blog, please include it in the comments!! I looooove pics of dogs in costume!)
Ernie and I share a pumpkin costume (but I may spring for a new one this year):
The Great Pumpkin!
Ha! That’s awesome, Sarah!
Mica my newf won for scariest costume last year as a devil, Lexie my newf Landseer went as witch, at 1 Mica went as a doctor have pictures if two but do not know how to add them.
Yours are quite clever. Miss M always wears a tutu we picked up in the kids section of target, but Mr. B’s range from a frog costume (Target) to a cowboy, to the Statue of Liberty. We also have more events to dress up for like the Pride Parade and the Chicago Marathon. Here they are in some of their outfits: http://pittiesincity.blogspot.com/2010/10/pooches-how-to-end-fear-of-pitbulls.html
Cute costumes from last year! You know, I’ve never dressed up Ace. Although I think it would be fun, I’ve never bothered. I’d also like to dress up my cats.
Lucas and Emmett tolerate their costumes so nicely! Good boys!
Hi Maggie, I’m running a story about this in a few weeks! Costumes are cute, but they should never cover the dog’s face, and the costume should not restrict movement. And in some cases, no dangling items should be used just in case they want to swallow parts!
Great tips, Michele! I’ll keep an eye out for your Halloween post!
Miss M and Mr B are two of the best-dressed dogs I’ve ever seen! I’m so jealous of all your fab costumes! Especially that frog one…
Lindsay, If you dress Ace or your cats up this year, I hope you post a pic!
