In a total departure from my usual posting scheduled, I wanted to take a minute to figure out how I can improve this blog for you, the awesome readers who come back day in and day out.
When I started blogging last summer, I thought my boys’ antics were entertaining enough to fill out these pages. And while I love writing about Emmett and Lucas, Oh My Dog! has evolved to include so much more than their stories. It’s been a platform for me and other bloggers to talk about animal welfare issues, to discuss products, food, health and nutrition, to exchange training tips and tricks… and so much more. And I’ve grown from a small group of readers to a lively, vibrant community!
We’re all so busy, and there are so many amazing blogs to read. I want to figure out how I can improve the time you spend reading Oh My Dog! Below is a short little poll. If you have a spare moment, please weigh in! An overhaul of the site is in the works (it’s about time!!) and I’m trying to determine what content you like the best – and the least! – so that I can deliver more good, less bad! And, as always, please feel free to leave additional ideas and opinions in the comments section.
Thank you so much for your time and for sharing this little corner of the internet with me, Emmett, and Lucas!

Amanda & the Mutts
Generally, the blogs I stick to following the most are ones where I have a genuine chance to get to know the author and that engage in the sharing of ideas (training techniques, etc) and friendships.
It’s interesting that you ask this. For me, my blog has largely just been for myself – a way to tell my story with no concern for whether or not anybody reads it (though I do enjoy the blog friends I have made as a result of it). Things get much more complicated when you have a greater purpose. 🙂

Mom agrees with Amanda & her mutts. When she started writing my bloggie for me, it was really just a way to have some fun while sharing my adventures & antics. For a long time it wasn’t even public, except to a few people.
Even now, its all about me. If someone wants to and likes to read it, it makes Mom feel good…but if they dont, that’s ok too.
One thing that keeps Mom going back to other blogs are the pictures & stories that go along with them. Its always fun to see what other doggies are up to!

I just love seeing what you and my granddogs are doing. Makes me feel like we aren’t 1/2 a country away.

It’s great the you’re asking our opinion! I like what you’ve been doing 😀
Pru wanted me to let you know that she has awarded you the Versatile Blogger Award on her blog. You can find it here http://ofcowstailsandchewtoys.com/2010/08/12/the-versatile-blogger/

Thanks for voting and for the comments! Keep the feedback coming!
Like some of you said, I started out writing about anything and everything, which is definitely fun (and I’m going to continue some of that, of course), but now that I have more folks stopping by, I’m hoping to provide info people want to read!
Ashley, thank you (and Pru!) so much for the Versatile Blogger award. I’m glad your site got one, too. You have a wonderful blog!
