BlogPaws, here I come!

04•06•10

In just three days, I will drive to Columbus, Ohio to attend the first ever BlogPaws conference!

I am so excited!! The sessions look interesting, there are fabulous speakers, and tons of like-minded bloggers to chat up! As I mentioned once before, I’m usually pretty awkward at these sorts of things, hugging the food table or bar, grinning like an idiot, but never knowing how to strike up a conversation. I really wish I were bringing Emmett. If there’s one thing I can talk about, it’s Emmett. Or Lucas. But I couldn’t bring him. He’d hate the conference because his social anxiety is even worse than my own!

Anyway! Are you going to BlogPaws? I’d love to meet you!

I’ll be the one grinning like an idiot near the food.

Have a wonderful time- wish I was going 🙂

(Tip that might help: make a bargain with yourself: If you get 10/20/50 email addresses of fellow bloggers to follow up with you can count the conference as a “Success!” & get that new bag/dog toy/dessert you’ve been eyeing).

    Enjoy!

LOVE that tip! I bribe the dogs, why not bribe myself? 🙂

I’ll be right there by you! Already feeling a little anxious…working at home I’m out of practice in this kind of situation. At least we know we can chat about wishing we had our dogs with us…I’m not bringing mine either. Look forward to meeting you in just a few days!

Yes! I’m in the same boat, working from home with most of my human contact occurring via email or Skype. But I’m super excited for this one especially since it’s all pet-related, something I can talk about for ages. Look forward to meeting you, too!

I’m there with you, Maggie, both on the count of being completely out of practice of being social and having a very shy dog who will therefore be left at home. So I’ll be one of the grinners at the food table too!

I’ll look forward to meeting you at the food table, then! And discussing our shy dogs, too!

I know Emmett will be super jealous that he’s not going with you! If he loves anything, it’s sitting by a food table grinning like an idiot 🙂 Sounds like it’ll be lots of fun; makes me wish I were a pet blogger!

Amen, sister. Happily, Chloe will be there (tho’ perhaps not allowed near the food table), so she’ll be handling the situation beautifully while I grin at the end of her leash….
