Disclaimers & PR
A quick disclaimer
I believe in transparency. Occasionally I review a pet product or book. These are all products that my little testers, Emmett, Lucas, and Cooper, have actually used. The books are books that I’ve actually read. I would never recommend something that I hadn’t tried first-hand. I will let you know up front if something was purchased by me or sent to me to test, and I will never, ever write a positive review about something just because it was sent to me for free. Likewise, if you’re interested in having my boys test a product for you*, please get in touch!
Further, I am the MC (master of comments). While I love a vibrant discussion – sharing opinions and insights is, after all, the way we learn – I won’t hesitate to delete rude, offensive, or trolly comments. Repeat offenders will be blocked.
Guest posts
I love posting guest posts on Oh My Dog! These posts are from folks I admire and who I’ve asked to write for the blog. In some cases, the guest posts appear as an exchange (as in, I wrote a guest post for their blog). If you’d like to write a guest post, go ahead and email me your idea – not the whole post – and we can work something out! However, if you want to write about your company’s (or the company you represent) product or service without having us test it out first, or if you want to submit a post with a few links to a company that I’m not familiar with, it will be considered a sponsored post with an associated fee and a disclaimer will appear with the post.

Here’s my policy in a nutshell: I will consider both sponsorship and advertising opportunities via email. However, this blog is my own little baby, and I love, adore, and value the wonderful people who read it every day. Therefore, I am picky about sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Please feel free to get in touch with all the relevant info – product or company, any links to your sites, your contact info, etc. – or to request a media kit with sponsorship and advertising rates.
The bottom line
I will always be completely transparent, and if you ever have any questions about the products, reviews, or guest posts that appear here, please don’t hesitate to email me at info {at} ohmydogblog {dot} com!
*Sending a product sample doesn’t obligate me to write a review. For one thing, I don’t write bad reviews… Since so many things are a matter of opinion, if I dislike a product or my boys won’t try it/play with it, I simply won’t write about it.
