Dog-Friendly Holiday Week: Best Gifts for Dog Lovers
Continuing our holiday week… Today I want to post my top picks for pet lovers! And don’t forget to post a comment to be entered to win one of the five giveaways this week. You can enter once per post!
Here are my top five gift recommendations for dog lovers… which is also sort of my wishlist, as it turns out. Hint, hint if anyone in my family is reading!
1. A practical gift: Isotoners - or any gloves with a decent grip
No, it’s not the most exciting gift, but man are these gloves practical! I received a pair for Christmas years ago, and they’re perfect for walking dogs in the cold. The leather palm allows you to keep a decent grip on a leash, even when your fingers are frozen!
2. A you’ll-get-tons-of-compliments gift: Freaky Dog People
I received a t-shirt from Freaky Dog People that I wear all the time, and every single time I wear it, I receive gobs of compliments. Plus, it’s super soft and comfy. I adore the t-shirt, and I adore the company. AND! I have one to giveaway today! Not the one pictured above – that’s the one I want for Christmas this year
– but an equally fabulous one. Leave a comment on this post to be entered to win a Freaky Dog People t-shirt!
3. An adorable coffee table book: Photobooth Dogs
Cute, cute, cute! And perfect for flipping through in front of the fire on these cold, snowy days. Plus, if you order from The Bark shop, you get a subscription to the magazine along with your book purchase. So give the book as a gift and keep the magazine for yourself! Or keep them both for yourself!
4. A splurge gift: The Flip
This is at the top of my dog-lover wish list! How many times are you out with your dog and you think, “If only I had a video of this!” It happens to me all. the. time. The Flip is small enough that it can slide into your back pocket for all those occasions. Plus, from what I can tell, it’s super simple to download the video files onto your computer for super-simple sharing.
5. The best gift of all: Help!
Gift certificate to pet sitting or housecleaning services are always very, very welcomed by every dog lover I know. A training gift certificate is good, too, if you know for certain that the trainer you select follows the preferred training method of the recipient.
That’s my top five roundup! Don’t forget to leave a comment on this post to be entered to win a Freaky Dog People t-shirt!

Great ideas! The shirt is adorable. Have you seen the new Sony Bloggie touchscreen? Wondering how it compares to the Flip.
Ooooohhh…I spotted these tees awhile back. We’d love to win one. They’re so cute. And ditto on the Flip. My hubby bought one for me last year for Christmas and I ended up returning it! Now, I want one!
Just discovered those t-shirts yesterday. Freaky Dog People stuff is DEFINITELY on my list this year!!!
One of these tees woudl be great! thanks!
Great ideas! A little embellishment on your first suggestion – I find the gloves with the mittens that fold over the fingers are great for walking the dogs. You don’t have to take off your glove to get the poop bags open!
Cute shirt. I also like Dawggiegopaks!
I would love one of these Ts! You can never have too many doggie Ts
good ideas – especially the gloves and the Flip
can’t wait to check out the Freaky Dog People site – and YES! Amy flip mittens are the absolute best!
Love the t-shirt and it would just confirm my Crazy Dog Lady status among my family and friends! :0)
would love to win a t-shirt, too cute!
That shirt looks very cool. And I’ve heard great things about the Flip. Maybe a friend will see me in the shirt — accompanied by Frankie, of course — and think us Flip-worthy.
Amen about the gloves. One of our early agility trainers used to laugh at me when I said I couldn’t think straight with gloves on.
Let me add this Flip tidbit … for those who want to use it for mktg stuff, you can get a hand-held microphone to go with it so that you have better audio for certain kinds of clips.
I would love one of those shirts—a good portion of my wardrobe is dog-related t-shirts, but I wasn’t familiar with FDP! Very cute!!
These are great ideas! The t-shirts are awesome!
as if the giant camera flashy thing mom is always pointing at me isnt bad enough…now she wants to document my every move with a Flip?
oh geez!
Murphydog
This would take care of one Christmas gift for my wife!
Mom really, really wants that Photobooth Dogs book. And I just LUV the gift certificate idea!
