It's hard to even type this, because it means I'm thinking about it again. If you think that dog gets a lot of love now, then I have a strong feeling that you haven't seen anything yet. He will no doubt be the poster-child for rehabilitaing a dog. A pit-bull that was rescued and now is a huge lap dog who loves big and small alike, and is a therapy dog? You both should be extremely proud of yourselves for the job you have done with Emmett and Lucas. I can't think of two better people for him to have loving and supporting him than the two of you.
